Feed the Street
Food inflation has moved hunger from the margins into ordinary working households. Feed the Street responds where the need is already known.
The problem
These are not people who queue at a relief centre. They are people the ward head can name.
Replace with a photograph from this programme.
What we do
Our response
- Serve hot meals at community outreach events in identified wards.
- Distribute dry food packages to households that cannot attend in person.
- Build the beneficiary list with ward heads and religious leaders before the event, not on the day.
- Return to the same wards so that support is predictable rather than occasional.
Who benefits
Specifically
Widows, elderly residents living alone, out-of-school children and newly food-insecure households, identified in advance by local community leaders.
₦5,000 feeds ten families at a Feed the Street event.
Give once, or set up a monthly gift so this programme can plan beyond the next outreach.
